Mrs. Alma Ruth Cannon Hooper, 91, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 at her home. She was born on Jan. 15, 1932 in Sparta, was a member of Newtown The Baptist Church for over 60 years, was the owner of Hoopers Greenhouse, and later on worked at DeKalb County Florist.
