Chattanooga resident Allen W. Barnes, 40, died unexpectedly May 15 at his residence.A factory worker and a member of Jefferson Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Smithville, he was the son of Billy Jack and Alice E. Barnes of McMinnville, who survive. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashlyn N. Barnes of McMinnville.In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughter, Sarah E. Barnes of Hendersonville; sons, Travis A. Barnes and Charles (Chase) Barnes of Hendersonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy J. and Mark Crawley of Chattanooga, Tammy L. and David Adams of Tullahoma; brothers and sister-in-law, Terry W. Hicks of Tullahoma, Larry and Donna Barnes of McMinnville, and Justin C. Barnes of Chattanooga.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Dwight Knowles officiating.
