Mr. Allen Danny “Bud” Parkhurst, 73, of McMinnville passed from this life Monday, June 10, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville.

Danny “Bud” was born Thursday, Dec. 27, 1945 in McMinnville, the son of the late Burgess Parkhurst and the late Hazel Elrod. He worked as an insurance salesman and was a member of Blues Hill Church of Christ in McMinnville. 

He is survived by his son Scott Allen Parkhurst and wife Jennifer, daughter Denise Kea and husband Morris, three grandsons Cody Parkhurst and wife Lindsay, Wesley Parkhurst and wife Sera, Nick Kea, great-grandson Declan Parkhurst, special sister Faye Hale and husband Jimmy, sister Joanie Young and husband Bill, brother Mark Parkhurst and wife Robin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Hall and brother-in-law Von Hall.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Gary Newby officiating. Interment will follow at Wood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and again Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Online condolences may be made at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
