Standard staff serves up banana splits for customer appreciation day
Banana-BEST-story
Life is good for Yates Stefanick as he enjoys a banana split.
Joe Shields brought his dog Max to the Southern Standard’s Banana Day on Friday, but that’s where Max’s luck would end. There was no chance of him getting a bite of Joe’s free banana split.“There’s only one spoon,” said Joe. “I’m not going to divide it.”It’s been said the only thing better than a banana split is a free banana split and the Standard was sending hundreds of them out the door Friday afternoon.“It’s good,” said little Olivia Stefanick, who couldn’t be talked into eating two. She came to Banana Day with a group of friends eager to eat.Banana Day is the Standard’s way to kick off the hot days of summer with cool ice cream treats.
