Valentine’s Day is always a special time at the McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center, with activities planned for all to enjoy.
A Mr. and Mrs. Valentine is chosen each year after couples solicit funds for the center. This year’s winners are Viola and Reed Poss, garnering $298.70 for the cause.
The active couple enjoys visiting the center and participating in the activities presented by the center.
Roxann Blair was named Valentine Queen after raising $248.62. Dessie Barkes came in second, and Wilma Cathey earned third place for their efforts.
Valentine King was William “Bill” Lively with a total of $248.62 added to the center’s coffers. Dennis Kronlage, who is also known as the man with the sexiest legs, added $70.82.
Attendees enjoyed a cake auction conducted by local auctioneer Donald Hillis. The treats were solicited and baked by volunteers for the contestants. The contestant received votes according to the amount brought by the cake.
“A delicious time was had by all attending, making the holiday of love also a fun day,” said director Cheryl Mingle.
