The Pioneerette Princess Pageants will take place Saturday in the Warren County High School auditorium, featuring beauties from 4- 20 years of age.
Entries can be either submitted prior to the event, or applications will be taken Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. Categories and pageant start times are: Little Miss (4-6), 2 p.m.; Young Miss (7-9), 3 p.m.; Preteen Miss (10-12), 4 p.m.; Teen Miss (13-15), 5 p.m.; and Miss (16-21), 6 p.m.
The pageants are to benefit the Warren County High School Pioneerette Dance Team and their trip to the 2018 National Championships in Orlando.
“We are excited to bring this pageant back,” said Pioneerette coach Penny Shockley. “We have had lots of interest from folks wanting to help us with our trip to nationals.”
Entry fee at the door is $45, with an additional $20 for optional categories of hair, eyes, dress, smile and personality. A Photogenic category is available for $10, with girls to provide a 5x7 or 8x10 photo for judging. A winner, people’s choice, optional categories and runner-ups will also be awarded.
“This is a natural, low, semi-glitz pageant, with makeup and hair age appropriate,” said Shockley. “Dresses must be at or below the knee, either Sunday best, or pageant gowns. We want everyone to have a good experience.”
