The inaugural stage production at the newly renovated Park Theater, “The Little Mermaid,” will finish its three-day run today with a 2:30 p.m. matinee. The cast of 35 young actors has worked tirelessly preparing for the production, putting in over 200 hours of practice time.“Everything is going great, hectic as usual, but lots of excitement within the cast and staff,” said director Logan Taylor. “Their hard work is evident with the production, something like the community has never seen before.”The story tells of a young mermaid, played by Mileah Milstead, getting to travel to the surface of the ocean to observe human life, and falling in love with Prince Theodore, played by Blade Campbell. Her joy is cut short when she comes in contact with the evil Sea Witch, wonderfully portrayed by 17-year-old Slovakian exchange student Alexandra Faybikova.
