A lazy float down the Barren Fork River will benefit a local charity this Saturday.Kids of the Community is holding its third annual Paddlefest with a competitive race starting at 8 a.m., and a casual float following at 8:15 a.m. The course covers the Barren Fork and Collins rivers. It starts at Pepper Branch Park and ends at the VFW.In addition to the race, a 2015 tie-dye Jackson Kayak will be given away. Every $5 donation earns one ticket for the kayak drawing.
