Nokes, Pell set to marry

Miss Rachel Lenae Nokes will become the bride of Mr. Alec Scott Pell in a ceremony Jan. 21, 2023.

The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Rachel Lenae Nokes to Alec Scott Pell is announced by her parents, Ronnie and Caresse Nokes of Morrison.

The bride-elect graduated as a 2013 valedictorian at Warren County High School. In 2016, she earned a bachelor of science in communication disorders from Middle Tennessee State University and in 2018 graduated with a master of science in speech-language pathology from Auburn University.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Scott and Paula Pell of Chattanooga. He is a 2010 graduate of Notre Dame High School and graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of science in finance and a bachelor of science in supply chain management from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In 2020, Mr. Pell earned a master of business administration with a concentration in business analytics from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Miss Nokes is the granddaughter of the late Charlie Turner and Roberta Turner Kelsey of Morrison and the late Vester Kelsey and the late Brown and Florene Nokes, all of McMinnville. 

The future groom is the grandson of Linda Stevenson of Ringgold, Ga., and the late Ronnie Stevenson, and of Virginia Knowles Pell of East Ridge and Lewis Rosselli of Lockport, N.Y.

The bride-elect is a pediatric speech-language pathologist at Erlander Children’s Hospital and Mr. Pell is a supply chain manager at Sanofi. The couple has planned a January 21, 2023 wedding at Patten Chapel in Chattanooga.
