Caring Hearts United volunteers presented their fun event “A Cake Walk Round the Square” Saturday with walkers hoping to take home a delicious cake for their endeavors while helping out a worthy organization. With over 80 cakes, most of them homemade, on the line, the walkers took the competition seriously.It was all in fun, with proceeds from the event benefiting Caring Hearts, an organization that’s main goal is to assist hospice units and their patients. They have provided gas cards for families, and prepared meals when needed.
