NHC holds buuny race

Just in time for the Easter holiday, the NHC staff held an Easter Bunny Derby for their residents’ enjoyment. The idea was to place numbers on the backs of bunnies, let the residents choose which one they thought would win, and turn them loose.
It was a fun time for all participating, as they enticed the bunnies with carrots across the finish line. After the race the residents who had chosen the winner got their names in a drawing to win a stuffed Easter Bunny. Arnold Andrus was the winner in the first Bunny Derby.
The Pet Shop in Plaza Shopping Center supplied the bunnies for the race, and they are available for purchase just in time for Easter. They can be reached at 473-4913, and their holiday hours are today and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
