Master Gardeners hold camp
1-Caroline-Stewart-yuck
Nine-year-old Caroline Stewart is freaked out by some of the items found in a scoop of pond water. She observed tadpoles, dragonflies and mayflies, as well as vegetation.
“Let the Forest Be With You” was an appropriate theme for the annual Junior Master Gardener camp where 24 youngsters in grades four through six were exposed to different aspects of their environment. The camp is sponsored annually by the local Master Gardeners Association, with member Tina Smock serving as coordinator. The first camp was held in 2008, with over 215 children enjoying the program.
