Kaci Taylor Lupo and Justin Andrew Woodlee were united in marriage in a Dec. 23 ceremony held at Irving College Baptist Church. The 7 p.m. nuptials were officiated by Jon Kent.
The bride is the daughter of Andrea Porter, and the groom is the son of David and Candace Woodlee. Miss Lupo is the granddaughter of Ed and Paula Porter. Mr. Woodlee is the grandson of the late Shirlene and the late O.C. Woodlee Jr., and the late Winton and Clata Dykes.
Guests were greeted by register attendant Lexi Rowland as musical selections chosen by the couple played. The church was decorated with a traditional Christmas theme, featuring a nine-foot lit Christmas tree in red and white. It was the focal point on the stage, surrounded by poinsettia topiaries and scattered red rose petals. Sanctuary windows held mini tea lights, and bouquets of winter greenery tied with ribbons were attached to the pews. The entrance was framed with small Christmas trees leading to the sanctuary.
The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather and brother, Will Lupo. She wore an ivory strapless empire waist chiffon gown with a chapel-length train.
The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and crossed and gathered bodice, accented with a beaded pearl and rhinestone belt tied at the waist. Her waist-length veil was adorned with baby pearls. The bridal bouquet was 12 red Christmas roses with winter greenery and baby’s breath.
Olivia Newby was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids included Lorin Rubley, Amanda Woodlee and Alyse Woodlee. They all wore Christmas red knee-length dresses and carried a single red rose.
The groom’s nephew, Harrison Woodlee, was the ring bearer. Josh Woodlee was his brother’s best man, and groomsmen were Will Lupo, Mitchell McCorkle and David Woodlee.
A reception honoring the couple was held in the church fellowship hall. The area held the groom’s Christmas tree, with the red and white theme continuing. Fresh cranberries and candles were scattered on tables, lit by clear twinkling lights.
Dara Johnson and Lexi Rowland served guests at the reception.
The new Mrs. Woodlee is a graduate of Boyd Christian High School, and is currently a junior at Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in exercise science.
Her husband is a graduate and valedictorian of Warren County High School. He graduated from lineman school in Trenton, Ga., and is currently employed as the parts manager of Tennessee Valley Tractor.
