After a long three months of feeding, watering and caring for their pigs, 10 Warren County 4-H swine project members participated in the Central Region and/or State Market Hog Show held in Murfreesboro.Those who participated included Zoie Conner, Austin Conner, Conner Smith, Hannah Sanders, Kalan Lusk, Will Prater, Clay Prater, Ian Pursley, Brett Winfree and Lane Self. Competition included swine skill-a-thon, showmanship classes, and market hog classes. To prepare for the event, 4-H members attended multiple skill-a-thon practices where they were taught swine breeds, parts of the animals, retail and wholesale meat cuts, equipment, feeds and health care practices.
