Three-year-old Kylie Kade Evans claimed the 46th tittle of Little Miss Valentine Saturday in a pageant sponsored by the Morrison Ruritan. The petite miss is the daughter of Brandon and Rachel Evans. She enjoys playing tee-ball, swimming and being with her big sister, Brookelyn.
Others receiving honors include: Lanie Jaylee George, daughter of Jeff George, and Autumn Wanamaker, first runner-up; Trinity Kane Reynolds, daughter of Blaka and Nikki Reynolds, second runner-up; Chloe Lyn Wanamaker, daughter of Chris and Sabrina Wanamaker, third runner-up; and Brooklyn Jade Turner, daughter of Kevin and Amanda Turner, fourth runner-up. The new Little Miss was crowned by reigning queen Lierra Mai Baines.
Contestant Jesse LeeAnn Hopkins, the 3-year-old daughter of Casey Hopkins, was awarded the People’s Choice Award.
From a field of 20 contestants, a Top 10 was chosen. In addition to the court, they are: Adisyn Presley Bonner, daughter of Cody and Candace Pryor, and Breu and Melissa Bonner; Katelee Lanea Ramsey, daughter of Dewayne and Candy Ramsey; Haven Grace Hodges, daughter of Jason and Heather Hodges; Harper Claire Fuston, daughter of Brandon and Kara Fuston; and Dani Lane Terry, daughter of Jimmy and Amanda Terry.
Callie Durham was the mistress of ceremonies for the evening, with pageant ushers Ty Childers, son of Monty and Angie Childers; Colton Deason, son of Kevin and Angela Deason; Gage Pursley, son of Michael and Becky Pursley; and Jon-David Vanatta, son of Buddy and Rachel Vanatta.
The Morrison Ruritan is very active in the community, and are currently accepting applications for their summer ball leagues. Sign-ups will be March 1, 8 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
