The 13th annual Hark at the Park! A Harvey Family Christmas will be held at Park Theater this Friday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.

Magness Library director Brad Walker says it’s not too late to purchase tickets.

“Ticket sales are going well, but we still have a few available,” said Walker. “If you’ve never attended one of these concerts, you’re missing out. They are very entertaining and a good way to spread some serious Christmas cheer.”

Last year’s event went from stage to screen, as it was broadcast from the Park Theater stage. This year it is back in front of a live audience.

“It’s with a full in-person audience,” said organizer and performer Steve Harvey. “The usual Harvey suspects, and some other Hark at the Park veterans, will be there, plus we have an awesome bluegrass band this year that we’re really excited about. The bluegrass band is called The Ridge Runners.”

The Christmas event has been offered for years in December as a fundraiser for Magness Library and Hamilton Street Activity Center. Its combination of humor and heartwarming melodies have made it a tradition for local residents who have packed Park Theater for sold-out shows.

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Magness Library.
