Lily Jordyn Rains was named 2016 Little Fairest of the Fair on Tuesday night in the annual pageant held during the Warren County A&L Fair, and was crowned by her friend Annabella Culwell. The 9-year-old is the daughter of Johnny and Tonya Rains, and attends Dibrell Elementary.
She enjoys playing basketball and made reference to the Disney television program “Liv and Maddie” in answering her on-stage question.
Rains was asked about her favorite television show or movie. She replied, “Liv and Maddie” because she wants a scholarship for basketball, and I do too.”
Little Fairest court members include: Elizabeth Grace Carpenter, 9, daughter of John and Michele Carpenter, first; Harper Claire Fuston, 7, daughter of Brandon and Kara Fuston, second; and Jenna Kate Mullins, 7, daughter of Mike and Tina Mullins, third.
A Top 20 group of contestants was selected by the panel of judges, and in addition to the court, they are: Constance Lynn Eldridge, daughter of Anita West, and Freddie Eldridge; Ally Johnson, daughter of Cassie and Joseph Johnson; Brooklyn Jade Turner, daughter of Kevin and Amanda Turner; Katelynn Bratcher, daughter of April and Mike McCarty; Emma Grace Rangel, daughter of Antonio and Rosalin Rangel; B’iara Analiese McKinley, daughter of Brad McKinley, and Charlotte Hale; Bella Raine Campbell, daughter of Cindy and Jason Campbell; Kate Elyse Gribble, daughter of Jennifer and Darrell Gribble; Zoey Grace Snider, daughter of Jeff and Brittani Snider; Elly Baine, daughter of Troy and Robin Bain; Trinity Kane Reynolds, daughter of Blake and Nikki Reynolds; Lanie JayLee George, daughter of Jeff George, and Autumn Wanamaker; Allison Faith Hamby, daughter of Josh and Jacklyn Hamby; Emily Grace Cantrell, daughter of Chad and Wendy Cantrell; and Makenzie Hullett, daughter of Daniel and Lesley Hullett.
Going on to the Top 11 list are contestants Gribble, Snider, Bain, Reynolds, George, Hamby and Cantrell.
