You could say Robyn Kirby has dived in head first as the new director of the Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program.In her first year of taking over the program from Kyle and Becky Phillips, Kirby has worked hard to ensure the transition didn’t make waves.“She has stepped right in,” said local Red Cross director Kathy Nesmith. “Her organization has been great. She has filled Kyle and Becky’s shoes very nicely.”Right at 500 people are learning to swim this summer thanks to the free lessons offered by the Red Cross.
