Fifteen-year-old Kataen Shockley was crowned Miss Volunteer’s Outstanding Teen in the scholarship pageant held at Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville. The event is a preliminary for the 2019 Miss Tennessee’s Outstanding Teen Pageant, and she will compete in March at the state event in Jackson. The pageant consists of multiple phases of competition, beginning with an eight-minute private interview with a panel of six judges.
