Former McMinnville resident and Southern Standard employee Pam Watts Harris will speak to students at Bobby Ray Elementary on May 26, and sign copies of her two juvenile books, “The Ghosts of Graceland” (2015) and “Music City Mayhem” (2016), published by Mantle Rock Publishing of Benton, Ky. Harris, a 1974 graduate of Warren County Senior High School and close friend of Bobby Ray Elementary media specialist Terrie Mullican, plans to talk to the students about how real-life events impact her fiction writing and to encourage them that they, too, can become writers someday. Although she is currently a full-time high school foreign language teacher in Martin, writing has always been her first love.
