The timeless story of George Bailey and his wonderful life in Bedford Falls was captured on film by Frank Capra in 1946. “It’s A Wonderful Life” was adapted for the stage as a musical, and will be presented by the Warren Arts Foundation as its first theatrical show. Show dates and times are Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.
“A Wonderful Life: the Musical” will be directed by Chad McGee, with musical direction by Kennette Dixon, and Sheri Garrett will serve as stage manager and producer.
“We are excited to bring this heartwarming story to Warren County for the holidays,” said McGee. “The production is true to the classic movie with that added fun of some great musical numbers that will have audiences toe tapping along.”
A partial list from the almost 40 cast list includes: Marc Pyburn as George Bailey; Erica Bragg as Mary Hatch Bailey; Josh Isaac as the angel Clarence; Rob Nunley as Henry Potter; and Jaeden Pyburn as Matthew.
The shows will be held at the former Baga Printing Company building on Red Road, just up from Spar Gas. Seating will be general admission. Tickets are selling fast, with some shows sold out. They can be purchased for $15 each, online at www.facebook.com/warren-arts, or email warrenartsfactory@gmail.com for more information and a return phone call.
