Dibrell Elementary had its halls full of beauty and charm in April. The elementary school hosted a beauty pageant as a means to raise funds for the upcoming eighth-grade graduation and a class trip. The organizers of the pageant give their humble thanks to the sponsors. The night was a major success, yielding the school nearly $5,000 in profit.
Dibrell librarian Lydia Taylor said, “The eighth-grade parents have worked tirelessly this year to have fundraisers to earn money for the class trip and graduation. This was one of their many events.”
The eighth-grade Mr. and Ms. Dibrell are Max Onkst and Elleiyah Gurleyright. Coming in second place were Eli Mabe and Dayani Conseco and third place went to Braydon Whiteaker and Katie Bechtel. Mr. Kindergarten is Knox Stiles and Miss Kindergarten is Paislee Walker.
The first-grade boy winner was Waylon Carroll. The first-grade girl winner was Maggie Self with Cassity Ann Roller coming in second. Landon Self was the winner for third and fourth grade. Layla Whiteaker was the winner for fourth and fifth grade with Makayla Harvey placing second and Brenley O’Neal placing third.
The 3-years-old to preschool boy winner was Jessie Hurley. The 3-years-old to preschool girl winner was Praylynn Stafford with Charleigh Moore placing second. The second- and third-grade winner was Serenity Woodlee with Skylee McCormack placing second and Sutton Pearsall placing third.
Emersyn O’Neal won the 12-23 month category. Ryatt Moore was the second-place 0-11 month winner and Walker McCloud won first in that group.
The people’s choice winners were Layla Whiteaker, Mylee Hendrickson, Lakelyn Cantrell, Cassity Ann Roller and Acelynn Stafford.
