Is that special someone anticipating a four-legged friend under the tree this year? If the answer to that question is yes, head out to Three Star Mall on Saturday, Dec. 14, for the second Santa Paws pet adoption being sponsored by the mall and Warren County Animal Control. Adorable dogs, puppies, cats and kittens will be waiting to find the person to give them permanent homes.“We offer this event to encourage adoptions, to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering, and to raise funds for vet bills,” said Warren County Animal Control director Kim Pettrey.Last year during this event, 20 dogs and cats found new homes and approximately $1,328 was raised.A pet fashion show will begin at 10 a.m. A live auction will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Baked goodies will also be available for purchase, for humans as well as pets.Visitors to the event can receive information concerning spay/ neuter awareness materials.Special featured guests will be kittens Phoenix and Smokey, who survived being burned.
