With the 31-foot spruce Christmas tree lit during the 33rd annual Christmas in the Park celebration, downtown is officially decked out for the holidays. The switch was flipped at the start of the evening, with opening comments provided by Mayor Ben Newman. He shared the story of the Christmas lights and reminded attendees to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.
