The Warren County Extension Office will offer a beginner, 10-session class on Tai Chi for Arthritis in April and May. Classes will be held at the administrative offices on Locust Street. Deadline to register is April 10.

East End Church of Christ on Sparta Street will hold a free clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Project Graduation Nursery Sale will be held April 14-15 at Bobby Ray Elementary.

The Warren County Ministerial Association will hold a free Good Friday singing at Three Star Mall. Singing begins at 6 p.m. with the 2x2 Quartet and the Kelsey Family.

Smartt Assembly of God will hold a nocturnal egg hunt and party from 7 to 9 p.m. Bring a flashlight for the glow party.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15

The Moose Lodge will hold a community Easter party and egg hunt at 2 p.m. at the lodge off Smithville Highway just outside the city.

Tree City Church Easter Outreach will hold an Easter celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. at 1123 Sparta Street. There will be games, prizes, and giveaways. For more information, call 931-808-1156.

Family and friends are invited to the 50th anniversary celebration for Larry and Helen Womack which will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Ivy Bluff Church of Christ. No gifts.

Pioneer Community Church will hold a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter morning, April 16, at Riverfront Park followed by Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. at the church and morning worship at 10:45 a.m., also at the church at 1707 Yager Road.

Sunny Hills Baptist Church at 2216 Robert Wilson Road in Centertown will hold a sunrise service Easter morning at 6:30 a.m. with speaker Lynn Warren.

Bethel Hill Baptist Church on West Green Hill Road will hold an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. at the pavilion across from the church with breakfast after service in the fellowship room. Regular service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church.

TDEC and Warren County will be holding a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Three Star Mall. All households are encouraged to participate in this environmentally safe method of disposing of hazardous materials. Cat adoption day will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 22 at Furry Tails Grooming at 111 North Spring Street and sponsored by HAWC. Adoption fees will be waived but donations will be accepted. Each adopting family will get a “cat bag” and half-off their first cat bath.

Rabies clinics will be held throughout the county the next couple of months. Cost for vaccination will be $9 per pet. The dates include April 22 and 29 form 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Town and Country Hospital (668-5151), April 28-29 and May 5-6 from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5:30 p.m. on April 29 and May 5 at McMinnville Animal Clinic (473-4129), April 28-29 and May 5-6 by appointment only at Sparta Road Veterinary Clinic (668-2393), and McMinnville Animal Care (474-7387) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 28 and May 5, and 8 a.m. to noon on April 29 and May 6.
