TUESDAY, OCT. 10

McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell will present an active shooter program at 10:30 a.m. at the Warren County Senior Center on Morrison Street.

The McMinnville Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the county government building on Locust Street.

THURSDAY, OCT. 12

A free clothing giveaway will be held at East End Church of Christ from 9 a.m. to noon.

FRIDAY, OCT. 13

The Eastern Star will hold a bean and ham dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $5 including drink and dessert. The Masonic Lodge is at 308 East Main Street.

SATURDAY, OCT. 14

First Baptist Church of Smartt Youth Group is holding a cruise-in for a good cause on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is a food fundraiser for underprivileged children. Bring a food item such as mac and cheese, canned soup, juices, canned veggies, cereal bars, etc. Monetary donation are also accepted and will be used to purchase food. The critter masquerade ball and costume contest will be held Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the pavilion at the Loyal Order of the Moose at 2851 Smithville Highway. Entry is $10 and includes hotdog bar. Categories include scariest, cutest, funniest and best overall.

Irving College alumni will hold a reunion Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. Bring a covered dish.

Free Medicare plan consultation is offered at McMinnville Drug Center on Sparta Street every Thursday beginning Oct. 19 and continuing through December.
