Hospital welcomes new ambulance

Ascension Saint Thomas Emergency Medical Services is celebrating expanded service in Middle Tennessee with the addition of two highly anticipated new ambulances. Both are equipped with critical care capabilities and will be staffed with critical care paramedics.

One ambulance is newly stationed at Ascension Saint Thomas River Park in McMinnville to serve Warren County 24/7 and provide transport, as needed, to and from hospitals in surrounding counties.

A second ambulance is now stationed at Ascension Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital in Centerville.

Both ambulances will reduce the burden on existing county emergency medical services and will save lives by reducing response times, hospital officials say.

“Ascension Saint Thomas is committed to improving access to timely, high-quality care for all Middle Tennesseans,” said Neal Kelley, regional president of Ascension Saint Thomas. “We are confident that, with these new ambulances, we are better equipped than ever before to serve our rural communities.”
