Charges dropped for mom

Charges have been dismissed against a mother after her son pleaded guilty to a crash in which she claimed, falsely, that she was the driver. The son, Joshua Ryan Burton, 26, was given an 11-month, 29-day probationary sentence and must perform 24 hours public service work for obstruction of justice. His mother, Colleen Ann Burton, 51, had the charge of making a false report dismissed in view of her son’s plea.
