Warren County had a tough time in Cookeville on Thursday on both the diamond and the pitch. Besides playing the baseball championship game in Cookeville, the WCHS soccer team was just a block away on the Cav soccer field. The Cookeville soccer team played a break-out game and defeated Warren County by shutout, 6-0. “Last night we played a tough team,” said WCHS soccer coach Orion Smith. “Cookeville is always a powerhouse but the boys played great last night. To be district runners-up two years in a row is a great achievement for us.”
