James Milton Suffridge, 81

James Milton Suffridge, 81, of Smithville passed away Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital.
He was a member of the Mount Herman Baptist Church and was retired from Better Built Aluminum. He had also been a Mason since 1960 and was a veteran of the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard Harrison and Isabella Suffridge; two sisters, Lucille Baker and Frances Pervical; four brothers, Bill, Carl, Tracy, and Rosco Suffridge. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Hendrix Suffridge of Smithville; three daughters, Jimmie and husband Mike Webb of McMinnville, Teresa Powell of Florida and Tyroma and husband David Rigsby of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, Dara and Kenny Webb Johnson of McMinnville, Jashon and Alissa Mills of Texas, Felicia and Brian Epps of Florida and Hayden, Bella, Eden, Karsen, and Farrah Rigsby of Lebanon; four great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild;  sister, Freda and husband Dr. Miles Donaldson of Indiana; sister-in-law, Lois Suffridge of Hendersonville and a brother-in-law, William Pervical of Tazewell.
Funeral services were held held on Monday, July 14 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. David Carden and Johnathon Willoughby officiated. Burial followed at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with military honors. A Masonic service was held Sunday. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Mount Herman Baptist Church.
