I imagine any politician who doesn't value the people they serve will vote no....just like in Monday nights commission meeting.

I think residents should be able to voice their concerns with elected & appointed officials on ANY matter concerning city or county residents. Why would we vote them in & then not be allowed to speak?? Things need to change!

Freedom of speech is apparently not respected in warren county.

These commissioners are our neighbors and friends , we know them and they know us. They are not against us. Things just have to be done in order, by following protocol. Find out the established manner and then you can address any concerns you have. Some of you just sound so childish. We live in an instant gratification society and you want your way now. Well, these people told you no. And you do not like it. Put the work in and find out how it is done. Some of the comments I have heard on social media show that too many are very immature.

I agree with thehawk that there is an amount of immaturity on social media; however, that immaturity comes from both sides of the opinion. An amendment could have been made to the initial motion so that the public forum could have been controlled. For example, a member that voted no could have stated he or she only wished to have 2-3 members of the public speak for 5-7 minutes. The forum could have been controlled. Also, proper protocol was made when the motion for public forum. The public was not able to speak because of the votes of no. As in every government, united we stand, divided we fall. Until the gray area of the matter is addressed and true bipartisanship is allowed, agreements and compromise will continue to fail.

I attended the full commissioners meeting on 2-15-16 County residents were quiet and respectful. Mr. Wells chose not to let them speak when he had the power to do so. Sheriffs Dept employees were there to maintain order if needed. County residents should be allowed to speak to the officials they voted in to voice their concerns. Your poll shows that people feel they have a right to be heard.

The amendment to the docket was not against procedure. I hope that wasn't the characterization as I try to do things correctly with little to no legal advisement given by my taxpayer paid attorneys. If it had been improper, it would have been called so as my attempt at a later motion was. Thank you all for the comments.
