Would you be in favor of keeping our local Driver Testing Center even if it meant a 1 or 2 cent property tax increase?

New driver's testing center? Just steps from historic downtown McMinnville. Cut that $60,000 rent to less than $20,000. Keep THP presence in our county and increase traffic to our revitalized downtown. County and city partner to share costs? Please pass on if you have an opinion or want to see Warren county retain a driver's testing center and THP presence. Ive had several people contact me even before the paper printed the story last week with what i think are valid reasons to possibly partner with the city and work as Warren County to keep it here. I know some services can be done online but I've heard from some people about services that cannot. Plus, having people travel to Warren county for those services brings potential patrons of local businesses to our town. Convenience to the people of Warren county. Retention of THP presence. Thank you, all. Make Warren County Great Again..... Yea...I said it. Let's do it..... ..:). Please share. Commissioner Michael Shane Wilcher

Let them tax you 1 or 2 percent, and they will tax you more. I say no if it raises our taxes. What about the cable company and phone company taxes the county gets each month? The county is certainly not broke. Nobody seems to think about those taxes. Keep it only if it DOES NOT raise taxes. Otherwise, let it go.
