Do you think a one-year sentence is long enough for an impaired driver who killed a teen and injured three others?

If the laws in this state are a precursor to this sentence, then the laws in this state need to be changed. I have heard of shoplifters getting more time in jail than this. It's a real shame that our DA would make such a deal with this man. He committed murder. And that is simply that, irregardless of how or why he was impaired. Actually, maybe he should get the same sentence as Ashlyn? Think about it.

As bad as this 'slap on the wrist', perversion of justice is. I would like to hear from the 38 [ as of this writing] fellow citizens who thought this was justice . What if that had been your child ? One year ! Something is bad wrong. And we, the people, need to change things. Either DA , Judges, or congress in Nashville [ to change the laws] needs to go. And you 38 need to get a heart !
