Elmer J. Freeze, 90

Cannon County native Elmer J. Freeze, 90, died Feb. 21 at Stones River Hospital.
A member of Smith Grove Church of Christ, he was the owner of Freeze Electric, a Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy, Assistant Police Chief, Captain of Cannon County Rescue Squad and Mooretown Fire Department. He also worked at Woodbury Funeral Home as a police escort helping people across the street.
Survivors include three sons, W.J. Freeze of Murfreesboro, Kirby and Louise Freeze of McMinnville, and Roy and Tammy Freeze of Woodbury; grandchildren, Johnny Freeze, Jody Lane, Melody Hyder, Kimberly Cantrell, Chris, Michael and Wendy Freeze ...
