Everett Randoth Davenport, 101

Everett Randoth Davenport, 101, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Sunday, Jan. 20, at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville.
He was born Dec. 27, 1911 in Warren County and was a retired farmer, a member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Davenport was preceded in death by parents James E. and Florence Lance Davenport, wife Clara Hughes Davenport, sisters Mamie Davenport Hale, and Lorene Davenport Gilley, brother James Chester Davenport, niece Betty Jean Hale Cowan, and nephew Clyde Hurshel Hale.
Survivors include niece and nephews Joan Hale Jordan and husband Louis, Cecil Schuyler Hale, Jerry Wayne Hale and wife Sherry, and James Carl Cunningham, and special friend Jerry Lorance. Other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Blake Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery at Barren Fork. Military grave rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. The Davenport family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
