Lawrence vies for fairest in Tennessee

Kaitlin Lawrence is fired up and ready for the Tennessee Fairest of the Fair competition Friday in Nashville. She will be representing Warren County and will compete with other Fairest of the Fair queens from across the state.
The pageant will begin Friday at 6 p.m. at the Nashville Airport Marriott during annual convention activities.
“I’m ready and have tried to prepare myself for the competition,” said Lawrence. “I found a pageant coach and learned a lot, and also found out lots of things about Warren County that I didn’t know.”
Lawrence will be joined by several fair board members during the convention, where the local fair will be up for recognition as well. She will represent Warren County in various activities, including a party for the queens and the Presidential Ball.
“Pageant committee members have been very helpful in guiding me through this whole process,” said Lawrence. “They’ve been there for me when I have any questions or concerns.”
She is not a novice to the pageant world, having received numerous titles in the area, but says this pageant is definitely on a different level. Her family and several friends will be attending and cheering her on, which makes her happy.
“I hope to make my hometown proud,” says Lawrence. “I love the fair and go every day. It would make me very happy to bring this title home to Warren County.”
Warren County’s Fairest of the Fair Victoria Woods did win the state title in 2009; and Olivia Majors earned a runner-up award in 2011.
