Glen Waymon Nunley, 82

McMinnville resident Glen Waymon Nunley, 82, died Nov. 22 after an extended illness.
He was born in McMinnville Dec. 12, 1929, a son of the late Bessie C. (Taylor) and Hubert A. Nunley.
He worked as a police officer and served in the U.S. Army as a private in the Korean War. He attended the Church of Christ.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda S. and husband Terry Thompson of McMinnville, Kim D. Nunley of McMinnville; Shelly and husband William Randolph of Sparta; two sons, Wayne (Tojo) Nunley and fiancé Lisa Baird of McMinnville; Mike and wife Rachel Nunley of McMinnville; three brothers, Earl Nunley of Viola; Ronnie and wife Sherry Nunley of Murfreesboro; Marion Nunley of McMinnville; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Martin, Ashley Nunley, Tony Moore, Whitney Eubanks, Sarah Brown, Katie Randolph, Asia Smartt, Jay Grissom and Josh Thompson, and several great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Jean Nunley; parents, Hubert and Bessie (Taylor) Nunley; one brother, H.B. Nunley; two sisters, Hilda (Nunley) Pennington and Delpha (Nunley) Jennings.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Interment followed at Smyrna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to offset funeral expenses. To sign the online guest book, visit www.gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
