City seeks Christmas tree

City officials are trying to spruce up downtown with an evergreen. The search has begun for a tree to be the centerpiece of holiday activities in historic downtown McMinnville.
“If you have a tree that fits our needs, give us a call,” said McMinnville Public Works director Bill Brock. “We are looking around for one. We have a line on a couple, but you never can tell if they will work out.”
Trees need to be 25 to 30 feet tall. A cedar or spruce tree is preferred.
