Pioneers pancaked in Carthage

POSTED: September 7, 2012 10:26 p.m.

Looking to win its second straight game, the Warren County High School football team ran into a bulldozer Friday night in Carthage.

The Smith County Owls took a commanding early lead and never lost control in capturing a 47-7 victory over the Pioneers.

Warren County (1-3) has lost all of its games on the road, while winning its lone home game this year. The Pioneers stay on the road next week with a game in Cookeville.
